With respect to our families, colleagues, clients, consultants, as well as the local and global communities we live in, Portman Architects has decided to play its part in the prevention of the spreading of the Covid-19.
We have not closed our office but are conducting “business as unusual” similar to many other businesses in the environment we live in today.
Starting Friday March 13, 2020 Portman Architects has initiated working remotely from our homes using a similar procedure we have been successfully utilizing for many years in all our international projects around the world. In this way we will collaborate with the rest of our communities towards the common goal of defeating the virus. We encourage others to do the same to the best of their capabilities.
Any projects requiring the physical assembly of personnel for the purpose of carrying out the necessary activities and prevention of project delays will be addressed on a project-by-project basis through clear communication in agreement with all the necessary parties.
We will continue to monitor the status of the community impact and will provide updates to our workplace environment as required. We will rely on updates from the CDC for current status of the situation and decide how to operate accordingly.
In the meantime, for accurate and reliable information about COVID-19, go to the following link: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
We will surely prevail over these difficult times. We all look forward to see life being celebrated in the design of our public spaces and through all the wonderful places of our cities.
Thank you and stay healthy,
