Luca began his architectural career in Rome and has been practicing ever since 1994. His design approach is closely knitted with Portman’s – he’s always believed that architecture should be anchored in its context, enrich its location and collaborate with its natural environment. By focusing on the people who will use the space, he strives to create multiple perspectives to invoke a process of discovery and unexpected visual and spatial experiences.
Luca has worked across many sectors including hospitality, retail, residential, office and convention centers and has managed projects from design conception and development to cost estimating, budgeting, permitting and site management. His experience also spans from interior architecture to master planning and public infrastructure, as well as historic renovation and landscape design.
Luca’s native language is Italian but he’s fluent in English and also speaks French. Prior to joining the team, he worked in Cooper Carry in Atlanta, Design 2000 in Bahrain and Studiodwg in Rome. Inspired by crowds and busy areas, Luca loves every expression of life and enjoys taking in the way people use the landscape.
