Ryan contributes over 12 years of local, domestic and international architectural experience to a diverse team of architects and designers here at Portman. An invaluable resource, he’s also skilled in software utilization and has a passion for parametric design.
Ryan aims to always be in construction. Notable built projects at Portman Architects include Anthem Technology Center, 712 West Peachtree, and Coda at Georgia Tech’s Technology Square. Prior to joining Portman, Ryan worked as a project architect on The National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Porsche Cars North American Headquarters, Medical Office Building IV at Northside Forsyth, Putnam County High School, various projects in China, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. He’s accredited as a Registered Architect, a LEED Green Associate, AIA Member, and is NCARB Certified. He earned both a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and studied abroad at the Ecole National Superieur d’Architecture de Paris la Villette.
Having lived in Atlanta for 18 years, Ryan claims to be in a ‘long-term love affair’ with the city and its development over the past decade and a half. He spent his childhood across Louisiana, New York, and Florida. As part of a large, extended family, he enjoys taking family vacations and attending momentous occasions. Locally, Ryan spends his free time with his dog Vector, socializing with friends, visiting National Parks, and playing indoor volleyball.
