Fort Worth National Bank Headquarters

An icon on the Fort Worth skyline, this 37-story building is now simply known as “The Tower”. Originally designed as the headquarters for Fort Worth National Bank, the building features a pyramidal 5-story base. The tower is basically a square with the four corners faceted. Set back 23 feet from the street, the tower is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden area. The plaza was home to Alexander Calder’s 40-foot bright red “Eagle” sculpture for years. Following a tornado that severely damaged the building, it sat empty for many years before being redeveloped into residences.
