“Following the Hyundai Fluidic Design approach that allows the mass of its cars to slip through the wind and inspired by the forward movement in the Hyundai logo, the design symbolizes a smooth path of innovation. It also speaks to the people of Korea and celebrates collaboration as threads that weave together success in business, as well as the binds that create community.
As the towers stretch toward the sky, their form is made of two skins that play on the power expressed by the complementary aspects of two strengths coming together in harmony. The building skins also offer benefits to the people inside. On the north façade where the sun is more forgiving the glass is transparent, blurring the line between indoors and out and maximizing the views to the river and beyond. On the south façade, the glass is slightly reflective to limit passive heating and optimize comfort. The signature tower is characterized by communal atrium spaces created every 15 floors. These soaring indoor garden spaces provide breakout areas for collaboration between workers from different floors and departments. To further give back to the community so critical to the company’s success, we’ve provided a public observatory level at the top of 115th floor.”
