As a Project Manager, David leads high-profile projects for renowned developers out of Portman Architects’ Atlanta and Shanghai offices, guiding his clients through complex projects with his strong leadership and software utilization skills. David has managed architectural projects for Portman Architect’s most well-known work, including Bric Dual brand Hotel and Mixed-Use in San Diego, Shanghai World Expo in China, Anthem Technology Center in Atlanta, and Coda at Georgia Tech’s Technology Square.
His passion for humanizing the built environment has led to innovative and award-winning design solutions ranging from building form to lighting design and cladding systems. Projects he’s contributed to have won BIM Modeling Awards, CMAA 2020 Private Building New Construction Greater Than $100M winner, Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2020 Best in Atlanta Real Estate Awards, and an AIA Georgia Gold Medal.
In addition, David’s work on Taikang Community Shen Garden captures nature as a significant design component, resulting in lifestyle-type environments that elevate multigenerational wellbeing. Finally, David’s current position on the HJAIA Hotel TOD embraces movement and dynamic forms to support a mixed composition that vertically extends the public realm.
David is a Registered Architect. He earned his degree from the Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois. His strong background in project execution, management, and quality assurance allows him to guide diverse and technically challenging projects successfully. In addition, he aspires as a designer to make thoughtful design decisions that maintain that order or contribute to that order in some meaningful way. Every answer to design exists in nature, so his inspiration exists everywhere.
