Thomas is a seasoned, respected hospitality professional with 3 decades in the industry.  His experience includes multi-unit operations overseeing full-service and select-service hotels, serving as SVP of Asset Management, and ERVP of Operations and Sales.

Thomas has worked for the world’s top three hotel companies – Marriott Worldwide, Hilton Hotels Corporation, and InterContinental Hotels Group – where he was known for his strategic vision and exceptional fiscal management. While serving as Director of the Midwest region franchise community for IHG, he covered eight states for the upscale brands of InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, and Hotel Indigo.  His operational excellence and people-focused, ethical approach led to strong market share growth across his region and earned him the “Upscale Director of the Year” award for brand excellence.

In a prior role as Senior Vice President of Asset Management and Operations at Portman Holdings, he was responsible for the operational excellence and growth as a leader in residential and commercial real estate management and development.  Thomas was responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of all properties within the firm’s hospitality division.  He was accountable for overall performance, and responsible for achieving aggressive business goals including the revenue, profit, efficiency, quality, satisfaction, reputation, and human capital objectives of the corporate entity and individual units.
