Hsinchu Biomedical, a proposed biomedical park in Northern Taiwan’s Hsinchu County, is part of a master plan including an integrated community of residential, retail, office, hotel and conference facilities which will occupy space adjacent to Taiwan’s new high-speed rail line. The initial plan for the 94-acre (38-hectare) plot is for a medical center, which will include a cancer center, a proton center and a general hospital, as well as a 45-acre (18-hectare) plot for biotech industry facilities.
