400million Coda will be ‘game changer’ for Atlanta’s Tech Square

In an article from the Atlanta Business Chronicle, it was announced with a slideshow that construction is now underway on Coda at Tech Square following a groundbreaking ceremony for the project on Tuesday.

Georgia Tech will serve as the anchor tenant for the 770,000-square-foot Coda (formerly referred to as the High Performance Computing Center), occupying about half of the office and 80,000 square foot data center. The remaining space will be available for corporations and Georgia Tech research partners.

“Coda is not going to be your sterile corporate office building,” said Jack Portman, vice-chair of John Portman & Associates and Portman Holdings. “It will be a laboratory of innovation, brimming with brain power…and creative energy.”

Coda would be targeted at tenants who need econometric and financial modeling and research; high performance data and network applications by computing and communication services firms; and genetic modeling by biotech and medical firms.
